Our Domaine les Maisons Rouges extends on 6 hectares in the heart even the exceptional ones but confidential Appellation contrôlées Jasnières and Coteaux du Loir. Our vines are planted on the slopes bordering the valley of the Loir. In phase of agrobiologic conversion, we carry out a natural culture of the vine without insecticide, nor product of synthesis.
We practice natural grass cover-cropping or we do ploughing. We practise a short size, in order to obtain small outputs of quality, strongly expressing the mineral typicity of our soil.
The manual grape harvest in case is carried out in the current of October. That enables us to have patience until the maximum maturity of the grapes and even until the surmaturity the favorable years. We can thus proceed to successive sorting in the same pieces.
Our white wines of Jasnières and Coteaux du Loir resulting from single type of vine the chenin, are generally dry, but certain years make it possible to obtain great sweet originals wines.
We raise our white wines from 12 to 18 months out of barrels.
This nonnew noble wood breeding brings all the elements necessary to them to offer complex and subtle flavours and a great aptitude for ageing.
Our red wines of Coteaux du Loir have a very original spiced savour brought by the type of vine Pineau d' Aunis. They combine according to the years the red pepper and fruits and can show a powerful structure with the old vines of Pineau d' Aunis.
